Fort Wayne River Greening 2015
Advanced Media Integration, in conjunction with the Fort Wayne Professional Firefighters and Get Green, are proud to display footage from 2015’s Fort Wayne River Greening celebration. This annual family-friendly, Saint Patrick’s Day event takes place at the old Wells Street Bridge in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. Founded in 1999, the event also features a 5K kilt run/walk, bagpipers, food and plenty of green beer. All proceeds from the day’s events benefit local organization, charities, and scholarship funds.
The annual River Greening event uses eco-friendly vegetable dye in order to turn the river green. Both kids and adults are able to hold the nozzle and spray the dye into the Saint Mary’s River. Using our new Sony NEX-fs700RH, we were able to capture some great slow motion footage of the 5K kilt run/walk as well as the greening. The camera can record up to 240 frames per second at 1080p and features a super 35mm sensor that allows for cleaner images and great low light performance. Additionally, the Sony NEX-fs700RH can output 4k resolution and utilizes interchangeable lenses, giving us the flexibility to use almost any lens available.
